How to transfer money out into bank?

Every time I try and transfer money out it does not let me. There is always a service failure or is unable to transfer. Every time I try and call I'm on the line for literally hours and no online customer service. Help will be greatly appreciated

Are you trying to transfer money right after selling a large position? If so, funds take two days to settle after a trade

The money has been in the account for over two weeks. Every time I try to transfer there is a service failure. I might just have to wait out the customer service wait time until I get through.

Money that was just transferred into etrade also has a 2-3 day hold until you can withdraw it again

On your app, click menu and transfer money. Choose from E*TRADE account and into desired bank.

They won't let you take money from your stocks though. They are sneaky.

Have you tried using a different browser or updating your browser? Worth a shot.

The number is a 24/7 number. I would try calling at night or on the weekends. Never call during market hours for a service request at least until etrade can hire many more service reps

They also have live chat support through the website & mobile app, and a messaging system, so try those methods also if you're having trouble getting them on the phone.

E Trade sucks at this point. It's easy to put money into their account, but when you want to make a withdrawal it's impossible. You can transfer funds but it's very limited. I have almost 5000 dollars in E-Trade but they'll only let me transfer 600, and I've had money in these sticks for over a year. Also cannot stop the transfer of funds lol.

I left the money in there, it was about $500. I have been so occupied I gave up on E*TRADE and started using webull for trading. Everytime I try to login it seems the website is down, it just sucks

I was having this problem and finally got through to an actual person at etrade. I apparently hadn't verified my bank account after my first transfer of money into my etrade. To transfer more money or transfer out money you need to log in on the computer and verify the bank account through Accounts > Transfers > External Accounts and the Complete verification on the account you want.

I need to change my number that E Trade has on file to add a bank account. When I try to, it gives me an error. What a joke.

Same thing happening to me, E*TRADE is dog shit. I signed up weeks ago with a 20$ deposit. Still can't purchase any stocks. Idk why it won't let me every action you make on this crap app is a failure for some reason so I decided to transfer out & just close it, I can't even transfer out my money & no one ever reply's to your contact support chat. This company & app is terrible.
